Real estate transactions in first quarter slash by 20 percent- state real estate cadastre committee says

The number of real estate transactions in Armenia in the first quarter of 2015 has slashed by almost 20 percent from the year before to 36,309, according to the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre.

YEREVAN, May 4. / ARKA /. The number of real estate transactions in Armenia in the first quarter of 2015 has slashed by almost 20 percent from the year before to 36,309, according to the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre.
The number of transactions in the first quarter of 2015 was less by almost 38% when compared to the fourth quarter of 2014, it said.
The largest number of real estate transactions was registered in Yerevan - 33% of the total number. Vayots Dzor province accounted for the smallest number - 2.3%.
Kotayk region accounted for 11.6% of the total number of transactions, Armavir – for 7.7%, Ararat – for 8.5%, Gegharkunik – for 7.9%, Lori – for 7.7%, Shirak – for 5.8%, Aragatsotn – for 5.3%, Syunik –for 5.6%, and Tavush – for 4.6%.
According to the official data, 28.2% of transactions in the first quarter of 2015 were alienation of real estate and 11.8% were initial registration.
Also some 12% were inheritance transactions, 8.2% were mortgage transactions, 4.3% were rentals and 35.5% were other real estate deals. No real estate privatization transactions was registered in the first quarter of 2015.-0-
