Regulator suspends operation of popular cafe in central Yerevan

YEREVAN, July 10. /ARKA/. Following an inspection at a public catering facility owned by Mama Jan 21 LLC, its operation has been suspended, the press service of the Food Safety Inspectorate reported.
The decision was based on gross violations of sanitary and hygienic standards identified at the establishment, which is located on Spendiaryan Street in Yerevan.
According to the regulator, the walls of the establishment were uneven, poorly maintained, and difficult to wash and disinfect. Additionally, the walls were not made of waterproof, non-absorbent, easy-to-clean, and non-toxic materials.
The ceilings were not constructed to prevent or reduce the accumulation of dirt, the growth of mold, or the possibility of particles falling.
