Regulator bans import of some India-made products to Armenia

Armenia’s State Food Safety Service, an affiliation of the Ministry of Agriculture, has banned the import of certain India-made goods to the country.

YEREVAN, August 28. / ARKA /. Armenia’s State Food Safety Service, an affiliation of the Ministry of Agriculture, has banned the import of certain India-made goods to the country.
In particular, it has banned the import of yellow peas produced by Indian company Rajdhan; refined, finely ground wheat produced by Rajdhani SELECT as well as white flour, semolina and wheat flour with bran produced by Aashirvaad company.
The shelf life of these products, weighing 800 kilograms expires at the end of August. Armenia’s law on food safety prohibits the import of food if the expiration date is less than 30 days.-0-
