Rossiya airline opens new route Volgograd - Yerevan from July 23
YEREVAN, July 15, /ARKA/. Russian Rossiya airline (a division of Aeroflot) will start operating direct flights between the Russian city of Volgograd and Armenia's capital Yerevan starting July 23. The flights will be operated by Superjet 100 aircraft twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays, the air carrier's press service reported.
"Rossiya airline is expanding the geography of its flights and is opening new international destinations to the friendly countries. Volgograd is the sixth Russian city where from the airline will perform direct regular flights to the capital of Armenia in addition to Yekaterinburg, Mineralniye Vody, Moscow, Samara and Sochi,' the carrier said.
After the removal of restrictions on flights from southern Russian cities and the opening of temporarily closed airports, Rossiya is ready to offer passengers flights to the capital of Armenia also from Voronezh, Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don.
The flight SU/FV 6945 will depart from Volgograd to Yerevan at 16:45 local time and arrive in Yerevan at 21:35 local time. Return flight SU/FV 6946 departs at 22:25 and arrives at 0:30.
Rossiya is part of Aeroflot Group and is the second largest carrier in the Russian Federation by the number of aircraft and is the largest operator of the domestically produced airliners. At present the company’s fleet comprises 125 aircrafts, 68 of which are Superjet 100 (RRJ-95).
Rossiya airline’s fleet is based in Pulkovo (Saint Petersburg), Sheremetyevo (Moscow) and Sochi airports. -0-
