Rostelecom in Armenia put up for sale

YEREVAN, November 3. /ARKA/. GNC-ALFA telecommunications company, trading as Rostelecom in Armenia, asked Armenia’s Public Service Regulatory Commission (PSRC) to allow it to sell all it shares, Russian news agency TASS reported quoting PSRC press secretary Liana Azizyan.
"The commission will discuss the proposal with the competent authorities. Based on the results of these discussions, within the time frame established by law, a decision will be made whether to allow the deal or not. The potential buyer is the Electric Networks of Armenia, which wants to purchase shares through Molitro Holdings Limited," Azizyan told Armenpress.
One of the leading telecommunications operators in Armenia since 2012. GNC-ALFA CJSC has been providing Internet access and fixed telephony services under the Rostelecom brand since December 2010.
Since September 2013, the company together with HYBRID SOLUTIONS Company has been providing the IP TV service of the new generation. In September 2015, the company introduced a brand new Smart TV, which stands out with its innovative solutions and features.
The company's network is entirely built on fiber-optic communication lines using advanced technologies, and stretches throughout the territory of Armenia for more than 3000 km. Rostelecom's network is connected to the main regional backbone networks and to the international traffic transmission nodes from Iran and Georgia.
The owner of Electric Networks of Armenia is Russian businessman of Armenian descent Samvel Karapetyan. --0--
