Russian company signs $2million worth contract for supply of buckwheat to Armenia

An agricultural company in the southern Russian Krasnodar Territory has signed a $2 million worth export contract for the delivery of buckwheat to Armenia, deputy governor of Krasnodar Territory Aleksandr Ruppel told TASS news agency.

YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. An agricultural company in the southern Russian Krasnodar Territory has signed a $2 million worth export contract for the delivery of buckwheat to Armenia, deputy governor of Krasnodar Territory Aleksandr Ruppel told TASS news agency.

According to him, the cost of the contract is almost ten times the total cost of the export of buckwheat from the region to Armenia in 2020.

He said the export contract was signed on the sidelines of Armenia Expo 2021 exhibition. The Russian supplier company is called Apostolye.

According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, the export of buckwheat from the Krasnodar Territory to Armenia in 2020 was worth $221,000.

The deputy governor said the participation of seven companies from the Krasnodar Territory in the exhibition in Armenia was secured by the Export Support Center of the Krasnodar Territory within the framework of the international cooperation and export project. Small and medium-sized regional businesses presented their products at the Armenia Expo 2021 in the format of a collective stand.

According to Russian Export Center, the Krasnodar Territory is the 8th biggest Russian region in terms of exports to Armenia. -0-
