Large Russian retailers intend to sign a cooperation agreement with an Armenian clothing brand "5900BC", the press service of the Armenian ministry of economic development and investment said today.

YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. Large Russian retailers intend to sign a cooperation agreement with an Armenian clothing brand "5900BC", the press service of the Armenian ministry of economic development and investment said today.
It said the accord was reached during a meeting between representatives of Russian retailers and the Armenian brand in Russia, organized by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization. According to a ministry press release, the Armenian clothing brand aroused great interest at the Collection Premiere Moscow fashion exhibition, being held on February 20-23 in Moscow.
The brand "5900BC" is a union of eight Armenian clothing companies, which develop jointly fashion collections with the help of Armenian and Italian specialists. The brand name is symbolic, as one of the oldest woman's dress, created 5,900 years ago, was found in Areni community in Armenia. The Moscow exhibition that has brought companies from 29 countries is the fourth exhibition for "5900BC" to showcase its products. The brand was created as part of a UNIDO program. The official start of the second phase of the program was given on February 14.
The program is designed to help revive and develop the traditions of Armenian clothing and footwear production, modernize the operating companies in this area and promote exports.-0-
