YEREVAN, February 28. /ARKA/. Sixty-two companies from the Russian province of Ryazan are showcasing 700 products at an exhibition pavilion that opened in Yerevan today. The companies represent light industry, education, healthcare, construction and other industries.

Speaking to ARKA news agency Deputy Prime Minister of the Ryazan province Artyom Nikitin said 15 Ryazan companies have brought their offers, initiatives and projects for starting joint businesses with Armenian companies.

"We plan to show the Armenian companies all the products we are proud of during the two-month exhibition," Nikitin said.

‘We hope that this exhibition is only the beginning of cooperation between Ryazan and Armenian companies. We are ready to present our proposals to Armenian companies in absolutely all main sectors of the economy," he said, adding that the Ryazan province is ready to host a similar pavilion of Armenian-manufactured goods.

"We hope that cooperation between Armenia and the Ryazan region will not be limited to the development of business potential. We also hope for cultural cooperation and exchange of students," he said.

The Acting Deputy Head of the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Karen Ivanov said many agreements are expected to be signed during the two months of the pavilion. Ivanov said also the Armenian side plans to open a similar exhibition in Russia in the near future, and afterwards in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Armenian Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan pointed out that the exhibition presents the economic potential of Ryazan region to the Armenian market. "We should very actively use this chance," he said. -0-
