In the international fright traffic from January 1 to March 31, 2013 inclusive CJSC "SCR" sets the rate in Swiss francs for transfer which makes Reuters factor in US dollars 0.94 against 0.97 applied in the fourth quarter 2012.
Thus, the freight rates on international routes in the first quarter of 2013 compared with the 4th quarter of 2012 are to grow by 3%.
For the first time in 3 years freight rates in domestic traffic will also be indexed.
In order to reduce price pressures and support the economic development of Armenia and exports of domestic products abroad, SCR will apply adjustment factors in the calculation of the freight costs, that will keep the rates for international traffic at the level of the 4th quarter of 2012.
With all the changes in the rates growth for rail freight in the first quarter of 2013 in the international traffic will be 1% and in the local traffic it will be an average of 10%.
