The Russian edition of Forbes has published the annual ranking "Kings of Government Contracts" that includes the owners of companies, which received the largest government contracts in 2016.
YEREVAN March 2. /ARKA/. The Russian edition of Forbes has published the annual ranking "Kings of Government Contracts" that includes the owners of companies, which received the largest government contracts in 2016.
According to the ranking, the owner and CEO of Monarch holding Sergey Hambardzumyan is ranked 20th. Monarch received last year 22.9 billion rubles worth government contracts. The customers were the Moscow government and the Federal Tax Service.
Sergey Hambardzumyan is one of 30 ethnic Armenian businessmen in Russia, who during a meeting with visiting Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan earlier this year in Moscow issued a statement about their readiness to participate in joint initiatives and business programs with the Armenian government.
According to Forbes, the vast majority of large contracts were distributed among several companies even without a simulated competition.
The list is topped by shareholders of Peton holding Igor Mnushkin, Oleg Polyakov and Vladimir Zaitsev, who received 176 billion rubles worth government contracts.-0-
