Several petrol stations in Armenia fined 220 million drams for selling low-quality fuel
YEREVAN, December 25. /ARKA/. The Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) of Armenia has imposed a fine of 220.4 million drams on five companies and one individual entrepreneur for selling gasoline that does not meet required standards.
According to the regulator's press service, the petrol stations owned by these companies and the individual entrepreneur in the Kotayk (Edo-Sarukh LLC, Father and Son Haroyan LLC, Edgar Oil LLC), Ararat (Edo-Sarukh LLC), Vayots Dzor (Tig Group Oil LLC) regions, and in Yerevan (Gaz-Propane LLC, Karen Fambukyan) were selling products that did not meet the standards for motor gasoline of their respective brands.
In addition, the CPC imposed a fine of 156.5 million drams on four companies (Violeta LLC, Father and Son Haroyan LLC, Edo-Sarukh LLC, and Gaz-Propane LLC) for failing to provide requested information as part of the proceedings related to the gasoline sale. One of the companies (Edo-Sarukh LLC) was also fined 15 million drams for obstructing the Commission’s authority and hindering an employee's ability to perform their duties within the ongoing investigation.
