SRC recovers hundreds of millions of drams

Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) said it has recovered hundreds of millions of drams.

YEREVAN, June 29. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) said it has recovered hundreds of millions of drams. The money was recovered by GLG Project Company following an inquiry conducted by SRC as part of a criminal inquiry into the company’s operations.
According to SRC, the criminal case was instituted because the company attempted to present deliberately false data, create artificial insolvency signs and evade taxes in large amounts. The criminal case was initiated under Article 193 (intentional bankruptcy) and part 2 of Article 205 (evasion of taxes, duties or other mandatory payments) of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
The SRC said the investigations found out that the company failed to pay 147 million drams as taxes for the construction of a multifunctional building under the pretext of bankruptcy. It also failed to pay 140 million drams as VAT for the 1st quarter of 2016. . ($ 1 - 482.07 drams). --0--
