Sun Food Company to Invest AMD 1.95 Billion in Food Processing Production in Armenia

YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. Sun Food LLC plans to purchase and import raw materials for the production of margarine, spreads, vegetable oil blends, mayonnaise, ketchup, condensed milk, and tomato paste in Armenia.

By government decision, the company will benefit from an import duty exemption as part of an investment program implemented in a priority sector.

The program envisages an investment of AMD 1.8 billion for the purchase of raw materials and AMD 150 million in capital investments.

Some 20 new jobs are planned to be created in 2026. The customs duty exemption is estimated at AMD 242.5 million.-0-
