Tarom airline to operate flights from Bucharest to Yerevan

Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania Sergey Minasyan met last week with CEO of Romanian TAROM airline Wolff Werner-Wilhelm and discussed among other things also the planned opening of a direct flight from Bucharest to Armenia’s capital Yerevan, slated for April 2019.
YEREVAN, December 22. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania Sergey Minasyan met last week with CEO of Romanian TAROM airline Wolff Werner-Wilhelm and discussed among other things also the planned opening of a direct flight from Bucharest to Armenia’s capital Yerevan, slated for April 2019.
The parties mentioned the role of the embassy of Armenia in Romania and the embassy of Romania in Armenia in achieving the agreement.
The ambassador expressed confidence that the direct flight from Bucharest to Yerevan by TAROM airline will contribute to the development and expansion of trade and economic relations, tourism and business relations between the countries.
TAROM or Romanian Air Transport (Transporturile Aeriene Române) is the national airline, the largest and oldest airline in Romania, based at Henri Coanda International Airport in Otopeni, 16 kilometers north of Bucharest. Some 95% of TAROM shares are owned by the government. In 2010, the airline joined the SkyTeam Alliance. -0-
