Tashir group denies media claims that it plans to invest $300 million in Armenia

The Russia-based Tashir group of companies, owned by an ethnic Armenian billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, has refuted Armenian media reports claiming that Samvel Karapetyan was going to invest as much as $300 million in Armenia’s economy.

YEREVAN, October 18. /ARKA/. The Russia-based Tashir group of companies, owned by an ethnic Armenian billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, has refuted Armenian media reports claiming that Samvel Karapetyan was going to invest as much as $300 million in Armenia’s economy.
"We consider it necessary to inform that these and other such reports are not true. They are aimed at creating artificial expectations. All the projects, which were implemented in Armenia by Tashir group of companies, Tashir charitable foundation and the Karapetyans family were properly presented to the public at large without superfluous emotions and eloquence,” Tashir group of companies said in a statement today.
"We ask our fellow citizens not to trust the so-called "reliable information" or publications citing their own sources, and believe only what we say ," the statement said.
Reports in some Armenia news outlets claimed that Samvel Karapetyan was planning to invest $300 million into the economy to complete the reconstruction of a unique cultural and historical project "Old Yerevan". -0--
