YEREVAN, November 13. /ARKA/. Armenian team TECTVM was announced a winner of Armenia StartUp Cup business model contest.
TECTVM appeared with a business model of goat cheese production, the contest organizers said Tuesday. 

Yesterday’s awards ceremony gave a start to the first Global Entrepreneurship Week in Armenia. Some 11 companies participated in StartUp Cup contest first held in Armenia

ArmAudioBooks took the second place presenting as their business model a recording studio for audio books and audio tutorials recording coordinated by the highly professional personnel. 

Innovative Greenhouse team was the third. It designed a patented technology for transformation of the energy, released from gas filling, into the thermal one and its use in greenhouses to foster a year-round cultivation of fruits, vegetables and flowers. 
The contest participants were working on their projects from August, and in September they attended a working seminar “How to build business” held in the American University of Armenia and coordinated by StartUp Cup founders from the USA. 

The Armenian entrepreneurs are really inspiring, StartUp Cup founder and CEO Sean Griffin said, adding they are looking forward to observing how the best proposed business models will foster economic growth in Armenia, create jobs and encourage the other generations to achieve their goals by setting up businesses. 

The three winners will receive money awards from EDMC/USAID to implement or expand their business.

“EDMC aid aims to stimulate competitive process, which teaches the entrepreneurs to design some viable business models, develop relations with the potential clients and present their newly set businesses at the market,” EDMC acting director Gayane Dallaqyan said.

The contest was organized by the Association of the newly set technological companies, EDMC and the American University of Armenia.
StartUp Cup is a network of the local business models, which is open for any business ideas. StartUp Cup fosters development of viable businesses and creation of new jobs.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is one of the principal events for innovators, who initiate creation of new businesses and implementation of business ideas ensuring economic growth. Such events are being implemented in over 100 countries this year. -0-
