Regulator halts production of two varieties of cheese by Golden Goat

YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. During inspections conducted at the dairy plant owned by Golden Goat company, personnel from the Yerevan branch of the Food Safety Inspectorate collected product samples and forwarded them for bacteriological analysis, as reported by the regulator's press service.

As a consequence, the samples of "Chanakh Cheese" and "Lori Cheese" failed to comply with the Eurasian Economic Union’s regulations concerning the "coliform bacteria" standard. Consequently, these food items are deemed hazardous.

By the directive of the head of the regulatory authority, specific production activities of the dairy workshop - namely, the manufacturing of these cheese varieties - have been suspended, and a timeline has been established for rectifying the identified violations. The company has been issued an order to halt sales, recall from the market, destroy, or dispose of this batch.-0-
