Trade between Armenia and Iran should be increased up to $1 billion - Iranian ambassador to Armenia

YEREVAN, June 10. /ARKA/. Trade between Armenia and Iran should be brought to $1billion, says Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.
"Despite the fact that Armenia borders Eastern Atropatene (Iranian province), we have failed to bring the volume of our trade with this country to half a billion dollars, so we need to make efforts in this direction and bring the trade turnover to $1 billion," he said, according to Pars Today news outlet.
The Ambassador said that the Iranian President ordered to develop and implement a serious plan to establish contacts with all neighboring countries.
According to him, Armenia is a good bridge between Iran, the Eurasian Union and the EU. "Given the fact that Armenia has preferential customs duties with EU countries, we can use this potential to export our goods," Zohouri said. -0-
