YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. On Sunday night, a train loaded with 1,000 tons of grain from Kazakhstan arrived in Armenia after passing through Russia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, as announced by the Armenian government, which also released a video from the Ayrum railway station.

The cargo was welcomed by Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan. He remarked that the successful delivery of this cargo was facilitated by a document signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, in the presence of the US President, as part of the peace agreement established between the two nations.

"This occurrence holds significant political weight and economic relevance, as it considerably shortens the delivery time for cargo to Armenia," the minister stated.

This marks the second shipment of goods imported into Armenia via Azerbaijani territory since the President of Azerbaijan lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia through Azerbaijan on October 21.

Previously, on the evening of November 5, a train carrying 15 Russian grain cars arrived at the Armenian railway station in Ayrum, having journeyed through Azerbaijan and Georgia. This was the first cargo shipment to reach Armenia through Azerbaijan since the early 1990s.

It is important to note that the cargo from Kazakhstan departed for Armenia prior to the Russian shipment but arrived later. -0-
