Turkey refuses to grant permission to FlyOne Armenia to fly through its air space to France

FlyOne Armenia low-cost carrier had to cancel flights between the Armenian capital Yerevan and French Lyon and Paris after Turkish aviation authorities refused to grant it permission to fly through the air territory of Turkey to European countries, the press service of the carrier reported.

YEREVAN, May 5. /ARKA/. FlyOne Armenia low-cost carrier had to cancel flights between the Armenian capital Yerevan and French Lyon and Paris after Turkish aviation authorities refused to grant it permission to fly through the air territory of Turkey to European countries, the press service of the carrier reported.

The carrier said the flights to Lyon and Paris will be cancelled until June 10. However, the Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan flights are operated according to the schedule.

The carrier said information on the resumption of flights will be provided additionally. It apologized for the inconveniences caused, offering the following alternatives to passengers:

* Flight date change;

* A 110% Credit Shell refund for the passenger's personal FLYONE account for the tickets purchased online or via the app only.

* refund of the full amount of the ticket for the cancelled flight.

If the ticket was purchased from a travel agency, the passengers should contact the agency to choose from the alternatives offered.

FlyOne Armenia was founded in 2021. On October 27, it received an aircraft operator certificate from the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia. The airline offers affordable flights to a number of destinations, such as Moscow, Istanbul and Sochi.

The fleet consists of Airbus A320 family aircraft with 180 seats and complies with all International Air Transport Association (IATA) and EASA Security standards. --0--
