Two new hotels to appear in Yerevan
YEREVAN, February 19. / ARKA /. Two new hotels will be built in Armenia’s capital city worth $8 and $50 million respectively, Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan told a Cabinet session today. He said the first hotel will be built by Renshin construction company on Tumanyan street in central Yerevan.
The building that will be remodeled into a hotel with 80 rooms needs serious reconstruction to match the current architectural image of the city, the mayor said.
The second hotel worth $50 million will be built near Abovyan park in downtown Yerevan by a Russian construction company from St. Petersburg. Its representatives are expected in Yerevan in April, Margaryan said.
The hotel will be built in a building that houses now Yerevan Jur water distribution company. The Cabinet decided today to set up an inter-agency commission to handle the merger of Yerevan Jur with Armenian Water and Sewage Company and seek a concessional manager for the new company.-0-
