UMC holds final of “100 best managers” in Armenia

YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. The United Metallurgical Company (UMC) has held the final of the annual UMC corporate “100 Best Managers” project, the company’s website reports.

The final was held in Armenia this time. The finalists of different years have been to many countries so far, including Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Austria, and etc. “Now Armenia has also gone into the symbolic “book of wanders” of the UMC”, says the report.

First, the best managers discussed personnel efficiency issues at a conference held by UMC’s human resources directorate to communicate the procedure of annual personnel efficiency management cycle to the managers.

UMC managers visited Echmiadzin, the center of Armenian Apostolic Church, where All Armenian Catholicos Garegin the Second received Chairman of UMC Board of Directors Anatoly Sedikh.

Participants of “100 Best Managers” had a chance to learn secrets and compete in preparing Armenian dishes with an experienced chief cook, chairman of a public organization on Armenian food traditions Sedrak Mamulyan.

The “100 Best Managers” has become an important event for the company as it spurs new projects and gives a chance to discuss the outcome of the previous ones in an informal situation, PR director of UMC Alexander Kastravec said.

The United Metallurgical Company was founded in 1992 and is a biggest Russian producer of pipes, rail wheels and rolled metal for leading energy, transport and industrial companies.–0—
