Universal Closers LLC is investing 2.8 billion drams in the production of aluminum caps in Armenia, the acting Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan said on Thursday during a government meeting.

YEREVAN, October 18 /ARKA/. Universal Closers LLC is investing 2.8 billion drams in the production of aluminum caps in Armenia, the acting Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan said on Thursday during a government meeting. 

At a meeting the government provided the company with a set of benefits for customs duties on imported equipment and raw materials.

"The imported goods will be used for the production of aluminum caps, which are mainly used in the production of mineral and fresh water," said Khachatryan.

He said the company located in Kotayk province has been operating for 6-7 months with 6 employees. Their number is expected to grow to 40. In the near future, the company plans to create 27 jobs with an average salary of 245 thousand drams, the acting minister said. 

"The total output will be worth 1.7 billion drams, of which 749 million drams worth products will be sold in Armenia, and the rest in Russia and Georgia," said Khachatryan.

The total cost of equipment and raw materials for which benefits were granted is 373 million drams. The benefits total 37 million drams. ($ 1 - 483.9 drams). -0-
