YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Russian UTair airline has increased the frequency of daily flights from Moscow to Yerevan to two, the company said in a statement posted on its official website. It said the flights will be operated by Boeing 737-500 aircraft which have business and economic classes, and the travel time is 2 hours and 50 minutes.
UTair president Alexei Budnik said the growing tourism potential of the Armenian capital increases in turn the demand for the service.
"I am confident that thanks to convenient connections at Moscow's Vnukovo international airport, residents of many Russian regions will have an excellent opportunity to visit Armenia and its capital Yerevan, a city with over 2500 years of history," he said.
From July 1 UtAir will begin operating scheduled 4 flights a week from the southern Russian Krasnodar, which has a strong Armenian community to Yerevan. The travel time is 90 minutes.
