Vehicles with Armenian license plates to be exempt from road tax in Kazakhstan

YEREVAN, January 30. /ARКА/. Vehicles with Armenian license plates will be exempt from road tax and environmental fees in Kazakhstan, according to a bilateral agreement on international automobile communication, which was amended and approved today by the government of Armenia.
According to the government, there is currently a problem in the field of cargo transportation between the two countries related to the legislative regulation of the process of collecting road and environmental taxes.
For this reason, it was decided to make changes to the document that would regulate issues related to vehicles registered in the territory of both countries, as well as the process of establishing benefits and tax exemptions.
"Making changes to the agreement will simplify the process of road cargo transportation between the two countries and increase the transit role of Armenia in the implementation of cargo transportation in the region," the government said.-0-
