Veon confirms negotiations on sale of its Armenian subsidiary

Veon Armenia telecommunications company (trading as Beeline in Armenia) said in a statement today placed on its website that its Amsterdam-based parent company Veon was negotiating its sale to Armenian telecom company Ucom.

'In accordance with regulatory requirements, Veon will provide updated information if any," it said.
Veon Armenia CJSC provides the full range of telecom services.
Ucom (Universal Communications) was founded in 2007. It provides a full range of telecom services: high-speed symmetric Internet, IP-television and digital telephony. -0-
At the end of December last year, it emerged that Veon telecommunications company, the owner of Veon Armenia, one of Armenia’s three mobile phone networks, asked for the permission of Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) to sell it to another Armenian telecom operator Ucom.
