VTB Bank (Armenia) jointly with Visa international payment system is launching new Teens and Kids payment cards, designed specifically for children and teenagers.
YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. VTB Bank (Armenia) jointly with Visa international payment system is launching new Teens and Kids payment cards, designed specifically for children and teenagers.
According to a bank's press release, the Teens and Kids cards are a convenient and safe alternative to cash.
Teens and Kids are multicurrency cards with a unique youth design, which have a number of advantages for both young clients and their parents.
'Using payment cards is a great opportunity to instill financial literacy and independence in young people from an early age,' the bank said.
Teens and Kids cards enable children / teenagers to keep money in several currencies at the same time, make intra-bank and inter-bank money transfers, pay for goods and services both in Armenia and abroad, and what is especially important - to independently make online purchases.
Visa Teens and Kids cards are protected by the modern 3D Secure security system, which provides an additional level of security for cashless payments on the Internet.
The payment cards provide an opportunity both to cash out funds at any time of the day, and to transfer money to a card account through ATMs with the cash-in function for free or through Telcell, EasyPay, Idram and Mobidram payment terminals in accordance with the current tariffs of VTB Bank (Armenia).
For holders of Teens and Kids cards, various promotions and sweepstakes are envisaged, as well as benefits and discounts as part of the loyalty program with partner companies.
The special advantages of the Teens and Kids card for parents are the ability to reduce the risk with the child's cash, instantly replenish card accounts with cash if necessary, the ability to control the money transactions of the child through a free connection to the round-the-clock SMS-bank service, Mobile / Internet bank application and bank statements.
Visa Teens and Kids cards can be obtained as a main card (a child / teenager acts as a separate bank customer) or as an additional card to the parent's main card.
In the first quarter of 2021, VTB Bank (Armenia) plans also to launch virtual cards Teens and Kids for remote customer service.
Kids payment cards are designed for minors aged 6 to 11 years old, Teens cards are intended for customers in the age group from 12 to 18 years old.
Teens and Kids cards are issued free of charge; the annual service fee is AMD 1,900, the commission for cash withdrawal from ATMs of VTB Bank (Armenia) is 0.15%. Cashless payments in retail outlets, all intra-bank and inter-bank money transfers in AMD are free of charge.
There are restrictions on the number of cash and non-cash transactions - up to 5 times a day in cash, up to 10 times for non-cash transactions and restrictions on the maximum amount of cash and non-cash transactions within one day - with Teen cards for a total amount of up to AMD 100 thousand and for Kids cards - up to 50 thousand drams.
To get a Teens and Kids card, one should provide a minimum package of identity documents (passport, social card). If the client is under 14 years old, it is also necessary to provide documents proving the identity of the parent.
In this case, all documents are signed by the parent. If the card is issued as an additional card, it is sufficient to provide the child's birth certificate.
