VTB Bank (Armenia) has launched today a new remote service -video banking - it has designed for its customers.
YEREVAN, September 4. /ARKA/. VTB Bank (Armenia) has launched today a new remote service -video banking - it has designed for its customers. The new service was presented to reporters.
Sofia Machkalyan, deputy CEO of the bank, described the video banking as an exclusive service enabling bank customers to make a number of banking transactions remotely by means of direct communication with a bank employee via a Skype video call.
She said the bank's customers can contact the bank’s contact center from anywhere in the world without having to fill out any documents, go through identification process and conduct any banking transaction. 'This service breaks all ideas about time and space and creates new and more modern ways of contact between the bank and the client," said Machkalyan.
According to her, with the help of a video call, customers will be able to make money transfers among their bank accounts, as well as intra-bank and inter-bank money transfers in the territory of Armenia, make payments to the state budget, as well as send and receive money transfers via SWIFT and other systems.
In addition, there are opportunities for non-cash foreign exchange transactions between one's accounts, payment of utility bills, loan repayments, registration and replenishment of deposit accounts, opening or closing of card, bank and savings accounts, as well as activation of SMS banking service.
“By launching this service, we also resolve the queue issue at our bank’s branches and create additional conveniences for our customers. VTB Bank (Armenia) is constantly developing its services and products striving to win the title of “ High-Tech Bank of the Future,” she said.
Machkalyan did not rule out that in the near future video calls could also be made through Viber and WhatsApp apps. She emphasized that in case of poor quality of video broadcasting and the lack of a clear image of the client, transactions will not be carried out.
She said that in parallel with the launch of the new system, the bank has also launched a new Call Center, which will receive not only phone and video calls around the clock, but also serve online chats. The new contact center was opened in March 2019 and is ready to serve all types of communications.
"By the end of September, VTB Bank (Armenia) will launch another service that will allow individuals to submit loan applications online and, if approved, receive it without visiting a bank branch," said Machkalyan.
