Water user companies in Ararat Valley will have to introduce closed system of recycling water supply

YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. Water user companies operating in Armenia’s Ararat Valley will have to introduce closed systems of recycled water supply.
This is a requirement of a set of changes to the Water Code and related laws, adopted by the parliament on Wednesday in the second and final reading.
The changes establish that any water user company should have a closed system of recycled water supply.
According to Environment Minister Hakob Simidyan, this measure is necessary to stop the catastrophic situation with artesian wells in Ararat Valley due to climate change and 'improper economic activities of citizens.'
The measure is supposed to improve management of the existing risks, as well as to save drinking water reserves. -0-
