Winners of abstract competition receive prizes from “Rosgosstrakh Armenia”

The results of an insurance abstract competition among students held by “Rosgosstrakh Armenia” company were announced in Yerevan Wednesday.

YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. The results of an insurance abstract competition among students held by “Rosgosstrakh Armenia” company were announced in Yerevan Wednesday.
Four winners out of 27 participants received prizes from the company.
The best abstract on “Pension insurance: international experience, short-term and long-term prospects in Armenia” was submitted by Laura Aydinyan, first-year student of MA course in economy, Yerevan State University.
The abstract of Rafael Ter-Sargsyan, first-year student of MA in Political Science at Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University was the best on “Promising insurance products in Armenia”.
Two other winners were Gayane Asatryan, four-year student of insurance department, National Agrarian University (topic: “Internet as an alternate source for selling insurance products: international experience and prospects in Armenia”) and Anna Asatryan, first-year student of MA course in insurance, State Economic University (Mandatory health insurance: international experience and possible introduction in Armenia”). These two winners had received nominal scholarships from “Rosgosstrakh” before.
The company awarded honorary diplomas and prizes of 100,000 drams to all participants.
Since the beginning of its operations in Armenia, “Rosgosstrakh” has cooperated with higher schools. The company awards nominal scholarships to best students studying insurance.
“This year we extended the list of higher schools, and now a student studying insurance at any higher school of the country can get a nominal scholarship from “Rosgosstrakh”, Executive Director of “Rosgosstrakh Armenia” Gagik Grigoryan said at the awarding ceremony.
After the law about mandatory insurance was passed two years ago, the market situation has drastically changed and the number of the company’s staff has increased from 30 to 315, Grigoryan said.
He also stressed that attracting people able to learn is one of the pillars of the company’s strategy.
“Rosgosstrakh” has its own business-school and training courses are held for the staff several times every year.
The company will continue supporting students to have highly skilled insurance specialists on the market in future.
Only students winners of the abstract competition will have right to participate in the second stage of the contest, where the main prize is a three-day trip to Moscow, including training in “Rosgosstrakh” and lectures on insurance in a leading higher school. Besides, authors of three best papers will receive prizes: 300,000drams for the 1st place, 200,000drams for the 2nd place and 100,000drams for the 3rd place.
“Rosgosstrakh Armenia” closed joint stock company was founded in May 2008. It received АПО № 0009 license for non-life insurance from the Central Bank of Armenia on May 20, 2008.
