YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. DisruptHR Yerevan, a global information exchange movement, designed to energize, inform and empower people in the HR spanning 35 countries and 155 cities, kicked off in the Armenian capital on May 26. The event featured 8 speakers from various organizations who shared their HR ideas and visions with more than 150 participants.

The speeches, arranged in a peculiar format, aimed to provide information to future leaders, inspire and motivate all those who are ready to put into action new and revolutionary ideas and are confidently moving forward to build a better future.

DisruptHR in Armenia is represented and implemented by Cascade People & Business. Ameriabank and Armenia Wine Company assisted in the successful holding of the event.

DisruptHR - movement with a vector for the future

Founder and Managing Partner of Cascade People & Business Arpi Karapetyan noted in her speech that since the company's policy is based on development, public accessibility and the importance of human resource management, presentation of the world-wide DisruptHR movement to the Armenian business community was a logical step.

“DisruptHR is about the future aimed to equip future managers with energy and new ideas,” she said.

According to Karapetyan, a great deal of work has been done to bring the DisruptHR movement to Armenia.

“All our speakers are HR specialists, who share their ideas and innovative attitude with the audience. This will help to understand where HR is moving as a specialty and where business is heading to. In general, it will help create a common platform where people can freely express their thoughts and inner feelings about their profession,” she explained.

Saying that this first event was supposed to be organized in March last year, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Karapetyan noted that similar conferences will be held periodically every two months.

“In this period, when we are all overcoming various difficulties and facing challenges, such consolidation, partnership - when various organizations unite around one idea trying to develop it and transfer it to other businesses - are very important,” she stressed.

Connecting HR and business: the ability to share knowledge and overcome challenges

“I am happy to be a member of the DisruptHR project, which is being held for the first time in Armenia in an interesting and special format,” said Anna Vardanyan, Head of Human Resources at Ameriabank.

She noted that the event is a good opportunity to talk to and share with colleagues knowledge and experience, current problems and challenges that HR specialists face on a daily basis.

“This will give a new push to the entire market, contribute to the development of the specialty, since today the importance of people in business and human resource  is growing significantly. Business understands that equipment, machines - yes, they have a price, they can be purchased and put into action, but all this cannot be done without the involvement and dedication of people, the efforts and emotions that people put into it, ”she stressed.

According to Vardanyan, it is obvious that the relationship between HR and business is increasingly strengthening and developing over time, and people-centered management is becoming a necessity.

“The skills, abilities and expectations of HR are constantly changing, which is a new stage of renewal, personal growth and development for the entire field and each specialist,” she said.

She also said that within the framework of the event, representatives of Ameriabank will present three different topics, each of which has its own special significance.

“Human development is very important and we join this initiative because we emphasize sharing our knowledge and experience. The good thing about the DisruptHR format is that we will not talk about good things, but share those critical challenges that the profession faces, which create difficulties for all of us, and we will have to overcome them by sharing our experience,”she said.

An incentive for further reforms

Marianna Mnatsakanyan, HR and Organizational Development Director at  Armenia Vine Company, noted that the DisruptHR movement is an excellent stimulating tool for further reforms in the field.

“Recognizing the importance of identifying and popularizing history, it is necessary to adopt new mechanisms that will contribute not only to the development and increase of employee motivation, but will also have a value for national safeguarding in these difficult times,” she said.
