Armenia and Iran discuss strategic program “Syunik – Economic Hub of the South Caucasus”

YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. The program “Syunik – Economic Hub of the South Caucasus” was discussed by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Director of the Armenian-Iranian Cooperation Development Fund Pouya Hosseini at a meeting held in Yerevan on Monday.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy, the program is aimed at developing the Syunik region as a regional economic hub by attracting private investment, developing infrastructure and expanding economic cooperation between Armenia and Iran.
The program will include various events, including bilateral professional conferences, business visits and presentations of investment packages.
Papoyan and Hosseini exchanged views on upcoming steps within the program and discussed possible state support for its implementation.
