As of July 1, 2008, there were 539,335 subscribed users of natural gas in Armenia, Armrosgasprom has said.

YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. As of July 1, 2008, there were 539,335 subscribed users of natural gas in Armenia, Armrosgasprom has said.

23,063 new natural gas users joined the network during the past six months with 3,594 of them registered in June.

ArmRosgasprom has a monopoly right to deliver and distribute Russian natural gas on Armenian market. The company was founded in 1997. Its current capital totals 278bln drams (close to $900mln). The shareholders are Gasprom (72.16%), the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia (22.78%), and the Russian Itera oil and gas company (5.06%).–0--
