South Caucasus railway CJSC to start operating Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan trips on July 9
YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. Yuzhnokavkazskaya Zheleznaya Doroga (South Caucasus Railway) CJSC will start operating Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan trips on July 9. The railway will keep operating the trips until July 16.
Susanna Tonoyan, press secretary of Armenian Transport and Communication Ministry, told ARKA News Agency that the train departure from Yerevan is scheduled for 20:10 local time on odd days and arrival in Batumi for 16:20 on the next days.
Departure from Batumi is scheduled for 08:50 on odd days and arrival in Yerevan for 05:35 on the next days.
The train will stop in Armavir, Gyumri, Vanadzor and Sanain in Armenia’s territory.
Unlike the previous season, this time fares in Armenia and Georgia will be the same.
Fares for dormitory car are AMD 18124 and for compartment car AMD 9300 (about $30).
On July 1, Armenian Railway was handed over South Caucasus Railway, whose parent company is Russian Railways, for concession management. M.V.-0--
