NASDAQ OMX Armenia Stock Exchange has become the sole shareholder of the Central Depositary of Armenia (CDA).

YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. NASDAQ OMX Armenia Stock Exchange has become the sole shareholder of the Central Depositary of Armenia (CDA).

On June 5, the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) registered the revised charter of CDA, with NASDAQ OMX Armenia becoming the absolute shareholder of the depositary.

The procurement of CDA shares by NASDAQ OMX Armenia (subsidiary of NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc.) completes integration procedures between the two companies, enabling them to reach a maximum operational synergy.

CDA and the stock exchange keep delivering services under the NASDAQ OMX brand, making attempts to boost Armenia’s capital market.

In January 2008, the Scandinavian OMX Group became the absolute shareholder of the Armenian Stock Exchange (ARMEX) and CDA.

After the NASDAQ-OMX merger last February, the newly established NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. became the sole shareholder of ARMEX and CDA.
On January 27, 2009, ARMEX was renamed NASDAQ OMX Armenia. -0--
