Armenia posted 1,084 commercial organizations and 5,676 private entrepreneurs between January and May 2009, the RA National Statistical Service reports.

YEREVAN, July 3. /ARKA/. Armenia posted 1,084 commercial organizations and 5,676 private entrepreneurs between January and May 2009, the RA National Statistical Service reports.

Out of total registered organizations, 1,031 were limited liability companies and 49 were closed joint stock companies.

As of June 1, 2009, total of 59,894 commercial organizations and 70,178 private entrepreneurs were doing business in Armenia, compared to 57,661 commercial organizations and 56,359 privately held businesses in the same period last year.

According to NSS, 327 legal entities (including enterprises and separate subdivisions) and 1,639 privately held businesses were liquidated between January and May 2009. ($1- 360.27 drams) Z. Sh.—0--
