YEREVAN, August 12. / ARKA /. Armenia will be manufacturing Belarus tractors, the supplies of which will be implemented by the Bobruisk Machine-Building Plant.

As the head of trade and efficient markets for the Ministry of Economy of Armenia Gagik Kocharyan reported, the contract was signed today at the Ministry of Economy between the Belarusian delegation and Chinvan Vanadzor factory (former Elektron plant).

According to Kocharyan, given the fact that the demand for these products in Armenia each year is 50-60 units, it is planned to produce, on average, 50 tractors per year, including small and medium-sized tractors with all the necessary equipment.

Kocharian said that the sale of the finished products will also be consumed in Armenia, and did not exclude the possibility of its exports in the future, since the Armenian company received the exclusive right and license to use the product.

“Belarus will import the supplies for the tractors, and the assembly and warranty services for the final product will be in Chinvan production capacity plant and that will provide approximately 20-30 new jobs,” he said.

The Belarus tractors are known to Armenian consumers since the Soviet times and today the quality of this technology is equal to European standards.

According to Kocharyan, despite the fact that the price of the Belarusian tractors will be slightly higher than China's, which are now assembled in the Chinvan factory. The new products will be competitive enough, as their price will be established on the basis of the cost of the components.

In conclusion, Kocharyan added that there is a preliminary agreement that VTB Bank (Armenia) will provide the funding for this transaction. –0-
