The overall size of employees of the 325 biggest Armenian companies in January-August 2009 reduced by 3.7% to 101,791 people.

YEREVAN, October 23, /ARKA/. The overall size of employees of the 325 biggest Armenian companies in January-August 2009 reduced by 3.7% to 101,791 people, the State Revenue Committee said in its Analysis of the Aggregate Indices of Monitoring of Biggest Taxpayers in the First 8 Months of 2009. But despite the shorter payroll list the wages in the same time span rose by 2.6% to 107.8 billion Drams.

The list of 325 biggest companies was approved by the head of the State Revenue Committee. ($1 – 386.14 Drams. ($1 – 386.14 Drams). -0-

Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-February decreased by 52%, to $2.8 billion.
