€178 million attracted by Armenia in 2015 for construction of power transmission line

Armenia attracted €178 million in 2015 for implementing two stages of construction of a 400-kilowatt Armenia-Georgia power transmission line, Armenian Energy and Natural Resources Minister Yervand Zakharyan said Wednesday while presenting the 2015 ministry activity report to the Cabinet.

YEREVAN, February 18. /ARKA/. Armenia attracted €178 million in 2015 for implementing two stages of construction of a 400-kilowatt Armenia-Georgia power transmission line, Armenian Energy and Natural Resources Minister Yervand Zakharyan said Wednesday while presenting the 2015 ministry activity report to the Cabinet.
In his words, financing of construction of a 400-kilowatt Armenia-Iran power transmission line was re-launched in September 2015. The construction is planned to be completed in 24 months.
The minister also said that measures are being taken now to prolong the Armenian nuclear power plant’s service life. The project will be completed in September 2016. --0----
