Unemployment mid-level in March was 7.3% versus 6.7% in March 2009 in Armenia, informs Armenian National Statistic Service.
YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. Unemployment mid-level in March was 7.3% versus 6.7% in March 2009 in Armenia, informs Armenian National Statistic Service.
At the end of March, the agency “Armenian State Unemployment Service” registered 101.3 thousand job seekers, from which 86.2 thousand were unemployed. Status of unemployed received 84.4 thousand people.
In January-March 2010 total number of economically active population was 1157.7 thousand, from which 1073.4 thousand received unemployment benefit.
As of the end of March from total number of unemployed 26.3 thousand people received benefit versus 17.9 thousand in the same period of 2009. Average size of monthly benefit was 16 270 drams (15 834 drams – in March 2009).
As of the end of March official demand for working force in Armenia was 881 people (98 unemployed for 1 vacancy). ($1 – 384.47 drams). –0
