Armenia's nominal median wage in may rises by 5.8% from a year before
YEREVAN, July 1, /ARKA/. Armenia's nominal median wage in May 2010 rose by 5.8% from a year before to 104, 561 Drams ($272 or 8,266 Russian rubles), the National Statistical Service reported. According to it, the median wage in May dropped by 0.5% from April when it was 105,086 Drams, by 5.8% higher than in 2009 April.
The highest median wage of 125,039 Drams was in the southern province of Syunik and the lowest wage of 73,843 Drams in central Aragatsotn province.
The highest monthly salary was boasted by financial sector-297,365 Drams, transport and communications- 223,162 Drams, mining - 199, 870 Drams, production and distribution of electrical power, gas and water- 145,834 Drams, construction - 128,946 Drams and state administration- 124,432 Drams.
The lowest paid workers were engaged in culture sector-53,493 Drams, health and social sector-65,757 Drams, agriculture and fishing-75,416 Drams, education- 76,217 Drams and real property -78,111 Drams. ($1 - 367.5 Drams). -0-
