Armenia's chemical output in Jan.- July grows by 39%

Armenia's chemical output in the first seven months of the year grew by 39% year-on-year to 5.528.8 billion Drams, the National Statistical Service (NSS) reported.
YEREVAN, September 2, /ARKA/. Armenia's chemical output in the first seven months of the year grew by 39% year-on-year to 5.528.8 billion Drams, the National Statistical Service (NSS) reported. It also said chemical sales in the reporting period of time amounted to 7.3 billion Drams.

According to NSS numbers, production of plastic goods grew by 20.3% year-on-year to 5,470 tons. Production of paints and varnishes grew by 11.9% to 6,200 tons. Production of detergents and starching goods grew by 14.4% to 1,423 tons. Armenian chemical companies produced also 3,133 kg of synthetic diamond spar and 960 tons of caustic sodium. Production of synthetic rubber doubled to 1,083 tons. -0-
