Production of brandy in Armenia grows by 36.6% to 6.801 million liters

Production of brandy in Armenia in the first eight months of 2010 grew by 36.6% year-on-year to 6.801 million liters, the National Statistical Service said. It said also 1.140.6 million liters were produced in August alone.
YEREVAN, September 30, /ARKA/. Production of brandy in Armenia in the first eight months of 2010 grew by 36.6% year-on-year to 6.801 million liters, the National Statistical Service said. It said also 1.140.6 million liters were produced in August alone.
Production of wine was said to have grown by 31.6% to 2.741 million liters as production of vodka dropped by almost 20% to almost 6 million liters. Also production of champagne wines grew by 29% to 146,200 liters while production of beer rose to 11.5 million liters from 7.8 million liters from a year before. Production of non-alcoholic drinks dropped by 1.9% to 2.3 million liters.-0-
