The company “GeoProMining Gold” (GPM Gold) denies the announcements of Control Chamber (CC) of Armenia on the absence of its operation project with state expertise and the act of mining lease of Sotq subsoil.
YEREVAN, November 17. /ARKA/. The company “GeoProMining Gold” (GPM Gold) denies the announcements of Control Chamber (CC) of Armenia on the absence of its operation project with state expertise and the act of mining lease of Sotq subsoil.
CC Armenia informs that operation of the subsoil is being implemented without any projects.
In the report as of October 20, 2010 CC Armenia reminds that the project of operation of Sotq subsoil was approved in 1982. Currently the company accepts the project approved in 1982 as a basis. Thus, it is operated without a project.
Today new operation project is in the process. Its preparation depends on re-assessment and re-approval of subsoil supplies.
Authorized government body defined the deadline for making changes in the operation project of subsoil – forth quarter of 2012.
CC Armenia concluded that the company GPM Gold has been operating the subsoil without the act of mining lease till August 25, 2009.
On November 5, 2010, CC Armenia suggested the government to review the issue of unofficial operation of Sotq and Meghradzor subsoil and ore mining by the company without relevant licenses in 2004-2008.
GeoProMining obtained 100% shares of the company Sterlite Gold Ltd from the company Vedanta Resources in September 2007.
Sterlite Gold Ltd is the only owner of AGRC (Ararat Gold Processing Company). Currently AGRC is renamed into GPM GOLD (GeoProMining Gold). --0—
