Some 262 million liters of milk produced in Armenia in ten months

A total of 262 million liters of milk were produced in Armenia in the first ten months of 2010, 3% less than in the same period of time in 2009, the National Statistical Service said.
YEREVAN, December 10, /ARKA/. A total of 262 million liters of milk were produced in Armenia in the first ten months of 2010, 3% less than in the same period of time in 2009, the National Statistical Service said.
According to its figures, production of cheese dropped by 3% year-on-year to 14,801 metric tons. Also production of kefir fell by 5.7% to 196.5 tons, production of curds (cottage cheese) dropped by 4.2% to 2,235 tons, production of sour cream grew by 3% to 2.480 tons, production of yogurt grew by 27.9% to 244 tons and production of mayonnaise fell by 4.3% to 64 tons. -0-
