Armenia’s Anti-Trust Agency confirms rise of dairy products

Armenia’s State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) confirmed February 23 that some of Armenian dairy companies raised the prices of their products.
YEREVAN, February 24, /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) confirmed February 23 that some of Armenian dairy companies raised the prices of their products.
Nelli Danielian, a spokesperson for SCPEC, told ARKA that it has launched a probe into what could make the companies raise the prices. She said if the Commission finds breaches of the law the companies responsible for it will be punished. She said the dairy products market is under constant mentoring because several companies have dominance in it. Particularly, Ashtarak Kat, Dustr Mariana hold from 35 to 50% of sour cream, milk, curd and yogurt markets. M.M. -0-
