YEREVAN, March 24, /ARKA/. Armenian prime minister Tigran Sarkisian had a meeting today with Igor Makarov, board chairman of Russian oil and gas company ITERA to discuss prospects for revealing new cooperation areas and implementation of investment projects, the government press office told ARKA.
After welcoming Makarov and members of an ITERA delegation the Armenian premiere was said to have expressed his pleasure with cooperation between Armenian government and the company and underscored implementation of projects designed to deepen further these relations.
Makarov said ITERA helps develop cycling sport in Russia and in this context the two men spoke about Armenian government’s plan to build an alpine sporting center near Lake Sevan. The government has approved release of 19.2 million Drams (over $53,000 ) to pay a German company Ersam und Gotwald that was chosen to develop a business plan for the planned center. -0-
