Nagorno-karabakh president visits Martakert region, emphasizes socioeconomic situation improvement

Nagorno-Karabakh president Bako Sahakyan visited the village of Talish in Mardakert region on April 3, met with representatives of the community and discussed their pressing problems, Sahakyan’s press office said.
STEPANAKERT, April 4, /ARKA/. Nagorno-Karabakh president Bako Sahakyan visited the village of Talish in Mardakert region on April 3, met with representatives of the community and discussed their pressing problems, Sahakyan’s press office said.
It said the president underlined the necessity of improving the socioeconomic situation in this village in terms of development of the border zone and stimulating the repatriation of natives of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) living in foreign countries.
He also visited the construction sites of hydropower stations being built in Mataghis and on the Trghe River to inspect the process of the work. Bako Sahakyan noted the importance of these facilities for the republic as pivotal components of energy security.
The president was said to have given concrete instructions to heads of corresponding structures for proper implementation of the planned work. Premier Ara Haroutyunyan and other officials accompanied the president during the visit. -0-
