On Monday, Armenian-Russian interregional exhibition of industrial innovations opened in Yerevan.
YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. On Monday, Armenian-Russian interregional exhibition of industrial innovations opened in Yerevan.

Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan, Russian Minister of Transport Igor Levitin, Russian Minister of Regional development Viktor Basargin and the members of Armenian government attended the exhibition, “Novosti-Armenia” agency informs.

Head of Department on Interregional and Cultural relations of Russian President’s Office Sergey Vinokurov said that the exhibition is held within the framework of Russian-Armenian forum and demionstartes the achievements and the potential of cooperation at the level of Russian-Armenian interregional relations.

Attendance of a dozen of Russian and Armenian regions and companies assumes that the basis for all relations is economic-trade cooperation.

Vinokurov said that both countries are gradually coming out of crisis, as evidenced by the fact that trade turnover between them was 870 million dollars last year.

Today, more than 1400 companies with Russian capital operate in Armenia.

Armenian Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan emphasized the importance of interregional development between the countries.

“For the first time a real opportunity opens for the Armenian regions to present the country's potential to Russian partners not only in the form of goods and services but also innovation and cooperation projects”, he said.

The exhibition presents a number of Russian regions, particularly Rostov region, Krasnodar region, Yaroslavl region, North-Ossetia Alania and many companies such as CJSC “Russian Railways”, “GeoPromining”, the company “Mars”, “Sitronix”, Artashat Cannery, etc.

The first time the exhibition will present innovation projects and technologies of both countries. –0--
