YEREVAN, April 21. /ARKA/. On Thursday, Heghine Manasyan, director of Armenian office of the Caucasus Research Resource Center, summarizing the results of the opinion poll conducted by USAID, CRRC and Eurasia Foundation in Armenia, said that about 60% of respondents were unhappy about economic situation in the country.

“I should say that the number of displeased respondents grew by 16%, compared with 2008”, she said.

Manasyan said that 69% of the surveyed people pointed out unemployment as a big trouble.

Other problems singled out by respondents were inflation, poverty, low income, corruption and emigration.

“The number of people concerned over inflation has doubled since 2009,” Manasyan said.Armenia faced 8.2% year-on-year inflation in 2010.

In the 2011 government budget, inflation is projected at 4% (±1.5%).
